| Intermediate/Advanced Modern Dance Technique WIth KC Chun-Manning |
Drawing from her diverse background of release technique, Alexander Technique, developmental movement, gymnastics and various modern dance styles, this class will emphasize developing a sophisticated understanding of the head, neck and spine relationship as the primary guidance system of the body. Through provocative and challenging phrases that require dancers to be assertive yet refined in their execution, value will be placed on increasing spatial, musical and ensemble awareness. Movement material will incorporate lush, sweeping gestures with inverted ballet lines and a serpentine use of the spine and limbs. |
Thursdays 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
